Westminster Preschool News June 1, 2021

By June 3, 2021No Comments

As we turn the calendar to June, we close the 2020-2021 academic year for Westminster Preschool. In this very non-traditional year we are grateful to share that our 16 staff members and over 200 children enjoyed learning and growing with all the CDC guidelines in place.

The commitment and dedication from the teaching staff to provide excellent learning with all the other guidelines was paramount.

I’m humbled to say we had an amazing school year without any classroom closures. Not knowing what to expect when it all began, this was quite an accomplishment. In May we hosted in-person, socially-distanced Mother’s Day teas; what joy we had sharing this time together! Our individual class commencements for the age 4/5 children was in-person and live-streamed. Wow! Grandparents watched online from the comfort of their own homes.

What’s next? Well, on June 1 we began five weeks of summer camps. These fun, themed, morning-only camps (Dinosaur Fun, Unicorn, Space Exploration, etc.) are welcome and desired in the community. We continue to enroll children for the fall of 2021 and we hope to welcome approximately 250 children back in September.

God is good, and we are truly honored to have Westminster Preschool in Glen Ellyn. Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
