Session is the ruling board of the church. It is made up of Pastors and 15 Ruling Elders. One third of the Elders are elected by the congregation each year, having been nominated by the nominating committee and having agreed to serve a three year term. The Senior Pastor is the Moderator of Session. Session meets once a month.
Ruling Elders oversee Councils which are comprised of Ministry Teams which, along with staff and volunteers, are charged with implementing all church programs. There are five Councils:
Support (comprised of Finance, Personnel, Stewardship and Property Ministry Teams)
Worship
Faith Journey (comprised of Children, Youth, Adult, Family, and Spiritual Formation Ministry Teams)
Care (comprised of Membership and Prayer Ministry Teams)
Missions
Session, in addition to providing oversight for all aspects of church life; prays, approves the operating budget, authorizes baptisms, approves fundraising, sets vision and mission for the church.
