Sometimes you just want to be in your pew. Of course our God is everywhere and can be worshipped anywhere; but sometimes we long to be back in that sacred space where we have heard the Lord’s voice, reached out to him in prayer, and rejoiced in worship with the family of God many times before.
On Wednesday July 22nd, you are invited to gather for evening Vespers in the First Pres sanctuary. Vespers is an evening service of prayer; we will read scripture, examine our hearts, pray, and seek the Lord together.
A few notes about this Vespers service:
- You will need to RSVP as attendance will be limited. Please tell us how many will be coming with you.
- When you RSVP, you will receive information about COVID protocols for the service.
- We won’t be singing together, although music will be a part of the service.
- All ages are welcome in the service. There will not be a separate program or childcare for younger members of our community.
We have so missed seeing you in person and the encouragement that comes from being a gathered community of Christ. We are looking forward to this experiment and experience together.
