All 8th graders are invited to join us for Confirmation!
Confirmation is an opportunity for students to explore who they are, who God is, and what it means to follow Jesus as part of the church. Throughout the year, students will wrestle with honest questions, build meaningful friendships, deepen their relationship with God, and discern what it means to affirm their baptism (or be baptized) and become members of First Pres.
Weekly classes are highly interactive and experiential, with plenty of opportunities for discussion, hands-on learning, worship, and serving together. Confirmation also includes a retreat on October 23–25, which is an essential part of the experience and one all students are expected to attend.
Parents play an important role in the confirmation journey, too. You’ll participate in several classes throughout the year as we encourage families to continue practicing and passing on faith together at home.
Confirmation begins Sunday, September 13, at 8:45 am, and parents are asked to attend the first class with their student. Register Today!
