Fall is here, and we’ve got awesome things coming up for kids at First Pres! Whether you’re in preschool, elementary school, or anywhere in between, there are fun ways to learn about God, make new friends, and help others. From SPARK, Worship Milestones, Trunk or Treat, and even packing food at Feed My Starving Children—this fall is full of exciting adventures. We can’t wait to have fun, learn, and grow with you!

Spark Training

All volunteers who are participating in SPARK can choose to attend training on August 24 or on September 3. We are inviting them to RSVP to which date they plan to attend here. This training is during breakfast and donuts/juice/yogurt will be served.

Spark is our exciting after-school program for 1st–5th graders, held on Wednesdays from 3:45–5:30pm, running from early September through mid-March. Students gather for worship, small groups, and specials which include all kinds of fun games, activities, art projects, and more. Welcome to Worship Milestone (Preschoolers and Kindergarteners)

Sanctuary
Children learn to worship by being in worship. That’s why children begin each Sunday in worship—even though this can be hard for parents. While kids hang out with our children’s ministry director to do worship related activities, parents will learn strategies for helping children engage in worship without going crazy yourself. Families will then get a behind the scenes look at the sanctuary and learn why worship matters (even for littles). All families with 3 year olds – kindergartners are invited to join us for this highly interactive Welcome to Worship Milestone.
Feed My Starving Children

During our time at Feed My Starving Children, we’ll be packing food for kids in developing countries. This is an easy way to serve for anyone aged 5 and older. Participants are responsible for getting to the Feed My Starving Children site in Aurora. Adults must stay and serve alongside the children. Register here today!
Trunk or Treat

First Pres Parking Lot
Families are invited to dress up and enjoy trunk-or-treating in the First Pres parking lot! All First Pres families can host a trunk—decorate it, pass out candy, and compete for prizes in categories like Most Creative Trunk and Best Costumes. More information to come!
