Bike to the Lake: Saturday, August 1, 2020

By July 2, 2020No Comments

That’s right! The 7th annual Partners in Mission (PIM) Bike to the Lake is on schedule for August 1.

However, it will look a little different this year. Because of multiple road construction projects along the route to Lake Geneva, we have made the decision to START and END in Glen Ellyn. There will be one route for all riders, with food and beverages at the end.

We will be following the state guidelines at the time of the ride. The goal will be to limit the risk and respect other people’s wish to comply with such guidelines. More information at PIM.

This annual event relies heavily on participation from First Pres members and friends.

Riders

Register on the PIM website, for the 50- or 70-mile ride. Contact Gary Alcock for more information.

Volunteers

We need volunteers to check-in riders at First Pres, hold directional signs along the route, and help greet, guide, and check-in for dinner at The Abbey. Contact Andy Retelny.

Sponsors for riders

Some of our riders need sponsors to participate in the ride. Visit the PIM website to sponsor a rider.

Proceeds from the ride will benefit Kamwenge Secondary and Vocational School in Uganda.
