Hired Mike Henry as the Director of Student Ministries. He comes to us with nearly 20 years of youth ministry experience. As a youth worker, Mike loves watching students realize their place in God’s kingdom now, rather than waiting till they’re adults.

Engaged in mission during the month of May. Many stories of volunteer and learning opportunities, were shared. Kids from Westminster Preschool and Children’s Ministry raised $1287.92 for Partners In Missions through their Coins for Coffee initiative.

Worship moved to the Gym on April 1st and construction of the Sanctuary is underway. There has been great process such as the removal of the white wall, platform, carpet, and the creation of the outside storage area.

Vacation Bible School had a total of 120 children in attendance with fun events and activities throughout the week. 62 volunteers helped to make VBS a success this year.

Diving into Friendship with God

God was at work throughout our time together at Vacation Bible School this year. Each day, both kids and leaders shared their “God sightings”—moments where they experienced God’s work. Here are some of their God sightings:

• God worked through all of us singing and dancing together each day with Mrs. Lily and the band.

• I saw God at work when our team worked together during games.

• God worked through our small crews. Before this week, the kids didn’t know each other. Now they do.

• I saw God at work when I prayed before bed and God took my bad dream away.

We are incredibly thankful for amazing staff, elders, prayer partners, and volunteers who made Vacation Bible School special.
