Help First Pres mission partner, Partners in Mission, support a multi-year project to build a new Carpentry and Welding Shop on the campus of Kamwenge Secondary and Vocational School in Uganda. The Carpentry and Welding Shop will house more sophisticated tools, provide additional space, and accommodate an expanding number of students interested in this vocation. Last year they raised $50,000 of the needed $200,000. We are seeking:
- Riders for the 55-mile bicycle ride beginning at First Pres and ending with a party at 2 Hound Red restaurant on Pennsylvania Ave. in downtown Glen Ellyn.
- Volunteers to direct riders along the route, to register riders, and to help check-in and welcome riders at the restaurant.
- Sponsors for riders.
