The event of Easter so shaped the way that the early church saw themselves, the world and God, that it changed most everything. Among those massive changes was the day of the week that Jewish Christians gathered for worship. The Sunday morning gathering became a central part of living as a Jesus follower.
The Easter event also changes every other day of the week for the Christian. This Easter-tide we will come to see how the resurrection bids modern Jesus followers to pursue justice, work for reconciliation in the world, reorient our priorities, and develop a growing relationship with the resurrected Christ.
