Ain’t No Grave | by M. Skaggs
Shame is a prison as cruel as a grave
Shame is a robber and he’s come to take my name
Love is my redeemer lifting me up from the ground
Love is the power where my freedom song is found

There ain’t no grave gonna hold my body down
There ain’t no grave gonna hold my body down
When I hear that trumpet sound I’m gonna rise up out of the ground
There ain’t no grave gonna hold my body down

Fear is a liar with a smooth and velvet tongue
Fear is a tyrant, he’s always telling me to run
Love is resurrection and love is a trumpet sound
Love is my weapon, I’m gonna take my giants down

There was a battle, a war between death and life
There on a tree the Lamb of God was crucified
He went on down to hell, He took back every key
He rose up as a lion and He’s setting all the captives free

There ain’t no grave could hold His body down
There ain’t no grave could hold His body down
When He heard the trumpet sound
He rose up out of the ground

There ain’t no grave could hold His body down
There ain’t no grave could hold His body down
There ain’t no grave could hold His body down
There ain’t no grave could hold His body down

If You walked out of the grave, I’m walkin’ too
If You walked out of the grave, I’m walkin’ too
There ain’t no grave gonna hold my body down
There ain’t no grave gonna hold my body down

Luke 24:1-6 (NIV)
On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!

Because He Lives (Amen) | by M. Maher
I believe in the Son. I believe in the risen One.
I believe, I overcome by the power of His blood.
Amen, Amen. I’m alive, I’m alive, because He lives.
Amen, Amen. Let my song join the one that never ends because He lives.

I was dead in the grave; I was covered in sin and shame.
I heard mercy, call my name; He rolled the stone away.
Because He lives I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives every fear is gone.

I know He holds my life, my future in His hands.
Amen, Amen. I’m alive, I’m alive, because He lives.
Amen, Amen. Let my song join the one that never ends
Because He lives, because He lives!

Death Was Arrested | by S. Condrey
Alone in my sorrow and dead in my sin
Lost without hope with no place to begin
Your love made a way to let mercy come in
When death was arrested and my life began

Ash was redeemed only beauty remains
My orphan heart was given a name
My mourning grew quiet my feet rose to dance
When death was arrested and my life began

Oh, Your grace so free, washes over me
You have made me new, now life begins with You
Oh, Your grace so free, washes over me
You have made me new, now life begins with You
It’s your endless love pouring down on us
You have made us new now life begins with You

Released from my chains, I’m a prisoner no more
My shame was a ransom He faithfully bore
He cancelled my debt and He called me His friend
When death was arrested and my life began

Our savior displayed on a criminal’s cross
Darkness rejoiced as though heaven had lost
But then Jesus arose with our freedom in hand
That’s when death was arrested and my life began
That’s when death was arrested and my life began

Oh, we’re free, free, forever we’re free
Come join the song of all the redeemed
Yes, we’re free, free, forever, amen
When death was arrested and my life began
When death was arrested and my life began
When death was arrested and my life began

God Is Love | by C. Renzema
How great this love, oh it’s moving all my mountains
This perfect love, it’s casting out my fear
How great this love, oh it welcomes me like family
And anywhere I go, it meets me there

He is good, and He is God. What I earned, it’s not what I got
He is just, yet oh so kind. What I deserve, it’s not what I find
What more could I say about Him? My God is love

How great is this love, oh it’s faithful through my failures
This trusted love is with me ’til the end
How great this love, oh, it’s closer than a brother
This is love, He died so I could live. My God is love

I know my God is love. I know my God is love
This is enough to know my God is love
I know my God is love. I know my God is love
This is enough to know my God is love
What more could I say about Him? My God is love!

Message

Just as He Told You

Scripture Reading | Mark 16:1-8 (NRSV)
When the sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, so that they might go and anoint him. And very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb. They had been saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?” When they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled back. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man, dressed in a white robe, sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed. But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed; you are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has been raised; he is not here. Look, there is the place they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see him, just as he told you.” So they went out and fled from the tomb, for terror and amazement had seized them; and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.

Apostles' Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth,

And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

Living Hope by Bethel Music
How great the chasm that lay between us
How high the mountain I could not climb
In desperation I turned to heaven
And spoke Your name into the night

Then through the darkness, Your loving-kindness
Tore through the shadows of my soul
The work is finished the end is written
Jesus Christ, my living hope

Who could imagine so great a mercy?
What heart could fathom such boundless grace?
The God of ages stepped down from glory
To wear my sin and bear my shame

The cross has spoken, I am forgiven
The King of kings calls me His own
Beautiful Savior, I’m Yours forever
Jesus Christ my living hope

Hallelujah! Praise the One who set me free
Hallelujah! Death has lost its grip on me
You have broken every chain, there’s salvation in Your name
Jesus Christ, my living hope

Then came the morning that sealed the promise
Your buried body began to breathe
Out of the silence the Roaring Lion
Declared the grave has no claim on me
Jesus Yours is the victory
Jesus Christ, my living hope. God, You are my living hope

Child of Love | by We the Kingdom
I was walking the wayside, lost on a lonely road
I was chasing the high life, trying to satisfy my soul

All the lies I believed in left me crying like the rain
Then I saw lightning from heaven and I’ve never been the same

I’m gonna climb a mountain, I’m gonna shout about it, I am a child of love
I found a world of freedom, I found a friend in Jesus, I am a child of love

I’ve felt the sting of the fire but I saw You in the flames
Just when I thought it was over You broke me out of the grave
Yeah (Yeah) Oh (Oh) I am a child of love
Nothing can change the way You love me, nothing can change the way
I belong to You, Yes, I do, nothing can separate

I’m gonna climb a mountain, I am a child of love
I found a world of freedom, I am a child of love
I am a child of love. I am a child of love
