Join us to watch: The Jesus Revolution.
The Jesus Revolution tells the story of a young Greg Laurie being raised by his struggling mother, Charlene in the 1970s. Laurie and a sea of young people descend on sunny Southern California to redefine truth through all means of liberation. Inadvertently, Laurie meets Lonnie Frisbee (Jonathan Roumie), a charismatic hippie-street-preacher, and Pastor Chuck Smith (Kelsey Grammer) who have thrown open the doors of Smith’s languishing church to a stream of wandering youth. What unfolds becomes the greatest spiritual awakening in American history. Rock and roll, newfound love, and a twist of faith lead to a JESUS REVOLUTION that turns one counterculture movement into a revival that changes the world. Based on a true story. Rated PG-13.
Our monthly Equipped Movie Nights are an opportunity to gather to watch movies, engage in meaningful conversations focused on aspects of the events and characters portrayed, and fellowship with one another as we enjoy dinner together. Our conversations encourage us to expand our understanding of the world around us by providing different points of view of events and circumstances. The evenings provide an opportunity to help us think about and discuss how our faith can inform our attitudes and better equip us to engage with others in a more meaningful and compassionate way.
