You can make a difference:  Become an Outreach tutor!

Are you passionate about helping young students succeed? Join us as a volunteer tutor in the elementary program at Outreach Carol Stream! We’re seeking dedicated individuals to provide academic support and enrichment to students in grades 1-5. As a tutor, you’ll work with one to two students, helping them achieve their academic goals while building their confidence and fostering positive relationships.

Our program runs from September through May, with tutoring sessions held once a week, Monday through Thursday from 4:30 – 5:30 pm. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a child’s life, especially for students from diverse backgrounds facing challenges with their studies.

We’re looking for volunteers who are compassionate, patient, and committed to guiding students in their educational journey. High school juniors and above are welcome to apply. Before starting, all tutors must complete a volunteer application, undergo a background check, and participate in an interview.

Ready to make a difference?

Apply online at weareoutreach.org/volunteer or contact Mindy Inman, our Director of Volunteer Services, at (630) 682-1910 or at minman@weareoutreach.org. Your support can help shape a brighter future for these young learners!
