Write Encouraging Letters
Volunteers are needed to write an encouragement card or letter to a local older adult in our Older Adults Program. At the Outreach Community Center in Carol Stream, we serve approximately 300 older adults who live on fixed incomes and most do not have transportation. In light of COVID -19, they are facing increased isolation due to their greater need to shelter in place. To help fight their loneliness and isolation, we are sending a letter or note of encouragement to each of them in the mail each week.
For more information or to register for one of these opportunities, please contact Mindy Inman, Director of Volunteer Services at Outreach Community Center.
