As you make plans for the summer, will you consider joining us for one of three trips?
High School Summer Mission Trip, June 16-21, 2020
Looking for an incredible opportunity this summer? High School students are invited to be a part of our June mission trip! With the help of Saint Bernard Project in New Orleans, we will rebuild homes for those in need. We will see first-hand how communities most affected by hurricanes and natural disasters are still recovering. The cost of the trip is expected to be $350 in addition to the cost of airfare (booked separately, however, everyone will be scheduled on the same flight.) Fundraising opportunities by Student Ministries will help offset the final payment. Non-refundable commitment of $75 is required to secure your spot by 2/21/2020.
Questions & Registration
If the High School trip interests you, contact Janelle Metz for more information or register for the event.
Montana Trip, July 12-18, 2020
Join us this summer on the Montana Mission Trip to the Ft Peck Reservation in northeast Montana. This family-friendly trip is open to all ages as we host a Vacation Bible School for children on the reservation and complete church repair projects at the Macaicu and Red Eagle churches. Thanks to your generous Christmas Eve donations, we have the necessary funds to replace the drafty windows at Red Eagle church!
Dominican Republic Summer Missions Trip, July 18-24, 2020
Some of the most vulnerable kids around the world are experiencing the love of Christ and a transformed life because of the ministry Kids Alive. In the mountain village of Constanza, Dominican Republic, Kids Alive runs a school and orphanage affectionately known as the Arc. This summer a small team of First Pres members and friends are planning to travel to the Arc to see this ministry first-hand, and participate in serving the children of the Arc and surrounding community. Constanza is a beautiful, safe farming town. While there is poverty, there is also hope for many of the children through the ministry of Kids Alive.
Your children are welcome to be part of this trip too. Children as young as 7 have come with a parent and fit right in alongside the children we serve. Previous trips have been a great mix of high school students, young adults, parent and child teams, and empty nesters. All are welcome.
