Shine on Feb 27, 2021 and more!

We miss you and would love to see you at First Pres again sometime soon! As we carefully open up, within CDC/state guidelines, we are committed to making things *as safe as we know how. Everyone has a different level of comfort when it comes to in-person gatherings; we don’t want you to feel pressure to take part in our in-person events until you are ready! If you are wanting to dip your toe in the water we would so love to see you at our first SHINE of 2021, this Saturday, February 27, 3-3:45pm in the Sanctuary. Please note, this time SHINE is on Saturday, not Sunday… we’re hoping that this will work for your schedule.

SHINE is a family worship gathering and we have lots of fun activities and learning planned. On Feb 27 the teaching is on breath prayer, a simple prayer you pray as you breath in and out. The main prayer we’ll be sharing is, “When I am afraid, I will trust in you.” You’ll have a chance to make your own prayer too. We will be talking about how prayer is like breathing, it keeps our spirits alive. In addition to fun activities, music and seeing friends, we hope this teaching will stick with your child for some time to come. A total of 50 people may sign up. You can sign up here.

*SHINE will have spots throughout the sanctuary for families to sit as a group, safely distanced from the other participants. We’ll wear masks and have hand sanitizer available.

Just a heads up — Sunday School is now beginning to run during the 10am church hour, socially-distanced, according to CDC/state guidelines. We invite you to sign up for Sundays. If you know your schedule a few weeks out, it would be helpful to know when you will attend so we can make plans to welcome your children back to this “new normal.” All available registrations can be accessed here.
