Please pray this week for
Kamwenge Secondary
and Vocational School
(KSVS) in Uganda
and the mission team
traveling there with
Partners in Mission
March 6-21. The KSVS campus includes
Good Shepherd Kindergarten and Primary
School for pre-school through 7th grade.
The Ugandan-led schools are a source of
inspiration for the community of Kamwenge
where the children of indigenous farming
families (mostly returned refugees) are
educated while mentored in their faith in
Jesus, community development, and Christian
The team will join in celebrations for the
10th Anniversary of the opening of KSVS
and dedication of the new STEM Center
which First Pres had a large part in building
through the annual Bike to the Lake event.
Trip participants are: Kathryn Alcock, Bob
Duncan, Jonathan Hancock, Heleine Kaha,
Barb Retelny, Joel and Kathy Schauer (Willow
Creek Church), Ebralie Mwizerwa (Projects
Coordinator, The Outreach Foundation/TOF),
and Frank Dimmock (Africa Mission Specialist,

• for God’s hand on Ugandans involved in
preparations for the celebrations and the
team’s visit.
• for good sharing time between the US
team and KSVS teachers and students, both
during classes and free time.
• the team is open to God’s leading for ways
to be useful to teachers, staff, and students.
• team members are open to differences in
Ugandan culture and different ways of
doing things.
• for protection from the evil one for
team members, families left behind, and
Ugandans during the trip
