Each year hundreds of low income families shop for donated Christmas gifts at the Outreach Christmas Store. The donated gifts are new and for sale at a large discount so that parents can afford to purchase a Christmas gift for their child. You can participate in several ways.
Hats: help us collect 1000 new winter hats for kids in need. Take a bag from one of the Christmas trees around the church and fill it with three kid-sized winter hats; gloves/mittens are welcome too.
Gifts: if you would like to give a gift to a child, take an ornament from the tree with gift ideas or shop on Amazon. Search “Outreach Community” under “lists” or follow this link: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2JFMC64S9UDF7
Serving: can you help serve at the Outreach Christmas Store, handing out hats and other necessities on December 8 at Outreach Community Center in Carol Stream? Set up help is also needed on December 7. If you can participate either day, contact Bob Duncan at bduncanwheaton@gmail.com. More info about the Christmas store is at www.outreachcommunityministries.org/christmas-store.
