Lent & Holy Week Classic Music Opportunities

Sunday, March 4 (Classic Service): Choir with Orchestra

Adults and teens: Have you always wanted to sing with an orchestra?  Join us in singing “Libera Me” from the Faure Requiem.  Attend 1 or 2 rehearsals & warm-up:

  • Thursday, Feb. 22; rehearsal 7:30-8 p.m.
  • Thursday, March; 1 rehearsal 7:30-8 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 4; warm-up 8:10 a.m.; sing during 9 a.m. service
Sunday, March 11 (Classic Service): Children’s Choir with Chimes

Children grades 1 and older: We are learning to ring hand chimes with our bell choir director Emily Puntuzs! No previous experience is required – fun and easy to learn! We will ring chimes at the beginning of the 9 a.m. service on Sunday, March 11. Come join us at the following rehearsals:

  • Sunday, Feb. 25; music room, 10:05-10:40 a.m.
  • Sunday, March 4; music room, 10:05-10:40 a.m.
  • Sunday, March 11; warm-up in Sanctuary at 8:30 a.m.
Easter Sunday, April 1: Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah

Youth and Adults: Raise your voice with us on the famous Hallelujah Chorus at the end of the 9 a.m. Easter Sunday service in the balcony! Attend an optional rehearsal on Thursday, March 22 or Tuesday, March 27 from 7:30-8 p.m., or contact Senja to borrow a score to brush up with at home. Hallelujah!

Additional singers youth/adult are welcome to join the choir for one or both Easter Sunday Classic services (7:30 a.m. Sunrise Service in the Chapel and 9:00 a.m. Service in the sanctuary. Contact Senja Morgan for rehearsal and music details.

Open Music Invitation

All of our music groups are open to additional musicians who wish to join at any point in the year, whether it’s one of the choirs, the bell choir, or you are an instrumentalists or vocalist looking to participate in periodic events.  Contact Senja Morgan, Associate Worship Director, for more info or to RSVP to the above opportunities.
