We host memorial services to remember and celebrate the life of a loved one. Scheduling a funeral or memorial service is always subject to the availability of our facilities as well as the availability of our staff and volunteers.
Please call the church office upon the death of a family member or loved one. If you call the church office after-hours, you will be given an opportunity to leave a message for the on-call pastor. One of our pastors will return you call.
If the service is held at First Pres, the pastor will coordinate availability of the Sanctuary, Chapel, and other rooms for the service and reception. We can also provide you with a basic service outline, appropriate hymns, and suggested music and biblical references.
A reservation for a funeral or memorial service includes:
- A quiet place for the family to meet for up to one hour prior to the service
- Use of the Chapel or Sanctuary for up to two hours for the service
- Use of the reception room for 1-1/2 to 2 hours following the service
The Chapel is available for private family services or when 75 or fewer people are expected to attend. The Sanctuary is available for public services or when more than 75 people are expected to attend.
