Earthlings is a small group of Christians who are trying to live more simply and care for creation in our church, our homes, and our communities. We meet once a month, except during the summer. As you Spring Clean keep in mind that SCARCE accepts the following items for reuse and/or recycling. SCARCE stands for School and Community Assistance for Composting and Recycling Education – Inspiring People to Care for the Earth in DuPage County, IL. SCARCE is located at 799 Roosevelt Rd., Building 2, Suite 108 in Glen Ellyn. Their hours are 9-4:30, Mon.-Fri.
- Cell Phones - a small fundraiser for SCARCE
- Printer Cartridges - ink jet, laser, toner
- Crayons - whole or broken crayons – to reuse or recycle in our Super Crayons project
- American Flags - passed along to be given a proper retirement
- Clothing Buttons - given for various projects in Uganda, Ethiopia, Haiti and more.
- Safety Pins - also give for various projects in Uganda, Ethiopia and more
- Eyeglasses - given to the Lions Club for repair and reuse
- Keys - house keys, car keys, skeleton keys – given to the Lions Club for recycling
- LP Records - passed along to It’s Our Earth in Wheaton
- License Plates - passed along to It’s Our Earth in Wheaton
- Floppy Discs - 3 1/2 and 5 1/4 inch
