Reverend Chris Griggs -Our New Senior Pastor

Pastor Chris Griggs preaches at Candidate Sunday First Pres Church Glen Ellyn on January 8, 2012. The congregation overwhelmingly voted to accept his call to become Senior Pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Glen Ellyn.

What’s next?

• February 26: Dave Bianchin preaches his last sermon. More information regarding events for that Sunday and a celebration of appreciation will be forthcoming.

• March 4: Chris Griggs preaches his first sermon with us at the 9:00 and 11:00 services.

In the meantime…

• Please continue to check your weekly email newsletter for links to video greetings from Chris between now and March 4.

• Please keep the Griggs family in your prayers as they begin this time of transition — saying good-byes to family, friends and colleagues in Sammamish as well as preparing to relocate.

• If you have a car that Chris can borrow starting in March, please contact the church office 630-469-2007. His family, household and vehicles will arrive after March, so he will need a car on a temporary basis.

Sunday, Main Sanctuary:

9:00am Contemporary Worship
Led by our worship band and vocalists, this service is celebratory, energetic, and encourages the congregation to make a joyful noise to our great God. Our desire is to provide a worship setting for you to encounter the unchanging truths and person of Christ in the midst of contemporary culture.

11:15am Traditional Worship
Our traditional service exalts our Lord incorporating the great legacies of our musical heritage: sanctuary choir, handbells, orchestra, pipe organ, and the corporate singing of the great hymns of the faith. This bold and majestic worship expression continues to be a hallmark of our music ministry.
